Autumn invites us to slow down and change.
There’s something irresistible about autumn: the crisp air, the burnt-orange leaves, the quiet magic of shortening days. We’ll wander through cozy fashion, time-honored autumn rituals, seasonal books and hobbies, and the philosophy of change itself—all while preparing to fully savor the season’s charms.

The Causation: Why Autumn Pulls Us In
The first cool breeze after summer feels like a sigh of relief. No more endless sweating, no more hiding under bulky layers, autumn’s air is just right.
It’s outfit weather, not survival weather.
This year, expect a style revival: the downtown girl look from 2021 will make a comeback, and so will the 2009 mix of long sleeves, mini skirts, colored tights, and low-rise nostalgia.
But here’s my advice: I encourage you to find your own style this autumn, not everything needs to be a trend in order for you to wear it, create your own, if you adore it, it’s already in style.
How to do it?
- Start with comfort: pick pieces you actually enjoy wearing. If it feels good, you’ll wear it more often.
- Look for inspiration and forget about what's trending for a second, if you find something you like and get second thoughts after thinking about what people may think about it, ignore it.
- Mix old and new: pair a thrifted cardigan with your favorite jeans, or add a statement scarf to a classic coat. Try and mix what you already have with more creativity.
- Create 3 go-to outfits: outfits you can pull on without thinking will make mornings easier and keep your look consistent.
- Add a personal signature: maybe it’s a certain hat, a type of jewelry, or a color you wear often. That’s your style anchor.

Autumn Rituals: embrace the season with intention
For many, New years mean fresh starts, but I think autumn is the time of true new beginnings. Back to school preparation, new jobs, new routines. The season naturally invites you to slow down, reflect, and prepare for the person you want to become.
It’s a season for warm moments: the scent of fresh bread in the oven, the rustle of leaves on a quiet walk, the glow of a lamp beside your favorite reading chair. Whether it’s baking, crafting, journaling, or exploring a hobby, autumn is the best time to get lost in something that feeds your soul.
(And soon I’ll be opening a book club on the blog — stay tuned for perfect autumn novel recommendations based on what you like.)

The Philosophy of Change
Autumn is nature’s gentle reminder that change can be beautiful. Leaves fall not because they’re weak, but because they’re making way for new growth.
The same way the leaves fall from the tree, you should let go of what no longer serves you.
Take this as your sign to do that— whether it’s clutter in your space, habits that drain you, or expectations that feel too heavy. In letting go, you prepare your leaves to grow greener and stronger next spring.

Preparing for the Season
You don’t need to buy a cart full of “fall essentials” to enjoy autumn. Instead, prepare with intention:
• Build a playlist that makes you feel cozy.
• Put together a few favorite outfits for cool days.
• Try a new recipe, like soup or sourdough.
• Decorate your room with diy creations.
It’s about creating a space, inside and out, that feels ready for the season.

🍁 and lastly...
Autumn doesn’t rush. It turns the world slowly, leaf by leaf, day by day. I hope this season gives you time to find yourself again, to savor the small joys, and to welcome the changes ahead.
See you soon, and until then, keep your tea warm and your heart open.
Thanks for reading!
